Choose the right line type
Taxes and fees can be percentage based or fixed. They can apply to lodging, add-ons, or lodging and add-ons together.
Required fees appear in the guest quote before the guest submits. They should not surprise the guest after the request is sent.
Tips
- Use percentage for lodging tax or sales tax style charges.
- Use fixed per booking for reservation, cleaning, or processing fees.
- Use fixed per night for required nightly resort or utility fees.
Tax-inclusive pricing
Turn on tax-inclusive pricing only when your site prices already include percentage taxes. CampGrid will explain included percentage taxes without increasing the total again.
If you are unsure, leave tax-inclusive pricing off and add taxes on top of the nightly rate.
Refund treatment
Refund treatment is an operational hint for cancellations, property review, and refunds. It does not replace your legal or accounting policy, but it keeps staff decisions consistent.
